HP Microserver removing the mini sas cable

Published on November 11, 2011 by in IT

this connecter is super tight!

easy way to get it out is to put a screw driver or paper clip and slightly bend the metal shield.

once done the cable is very easy to remove.

Robert, thanks so much for this. I was in the same boat and terrified of damaging the mainboard by wrenching too hard. Didn’t help that I’m unfamiliar with this cable/plug type. The screwdriver worked a treat for releasing the catch and I don’t think I even had to bend the housing permanently in the process. Many thanks.
